Summary
As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), you will provide therapeutic massage services to clients, supporting their physical well-being and recovery. You will apply your anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology knowledge to assess needs, and deliver effective techniques such as tissue massage and trigger point therapy. Your patient service mindset and strong communication will ensure compassionate care, accurate documentation, and a positive medical setting experience, contributing to client satisfaction and continued care.
Responsibilities
- Provide massage therapy sessions leveraging core skills in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, with emphasis on tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management.
- Monitor client response during sessions, adjusting pressure and techniques to ensure comfort and effectiveness.
- Maintain a high standard of patient service, documenting progress and communicating findings to the client and team.
- Ensure a clean, safe treatment environment and adhere to occupational health industry standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Massage Therapist license (LMT) in good standing
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience performing tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Excellent patient service, assessment, and communication skills
- Commitment to high-quality care and client safety, with continuous learning mindset
- Basic customer service and teamwork abilities; ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
