Position Summary:
The Material Handler / Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of fencing materials in a fast-paced outdoor yard environment. This role involves loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and assisting customers with their orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load customer trucks and trailers with fencing materials, including large bundles of pipe, skids of chain link wire, and hardware
- Operate a forklift to unload incoming shipments and move materials throughout the yard
- Receive, inspect, and organize inventory accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist customers with order fulfillment and ensure accurate loading
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
- Forklift experience preferred, but not required (training available for the right candidate)
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials regularly
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and ability to stay organized
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 7:30a-4p with occasional overtime as needed
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
- Opportunity for overtime
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
