Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. Responsibilities
- Assess student progress regularly through student assessment techniques and analyze student performance data to tailor instructional strategies effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, classroom management strategies, and implementing multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for students requiring additional academic interventions.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills to create a respectful learning environment.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and standards, ensuring all activities meet licensing requirements and best practices in childcare and preschool education.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and developmental milestones through written reports and parent-teacher conferences.
Skills
- Extensive experience in early childhood education, including preschool experience and working with children with disabilities or special needs.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young children.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS), assessment-driven instruction tools, and educational technology platforms.
- Skilled in curriculum development, instructional design, lesson planning, and implementing academic interventions within a multi-tiered support framework.
- Excellent classroom management skills complemented by conflict management abilities to maintain an engaging learning environment.
- Ability to analyze student performance data for quantitative analysis of progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Experience working with diverse student populations in private or preschool settings; familiarity with Montessori methods is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and community partners.
- Knowledge of educational compliance standards, regulation understanding, and best practices in childcare settings.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching strategies for different age groups including toddlers and preschoolers; experience teaching physical education is advantageous.
