A nonprofit services organization in New York City is seeking a Sr. Manager of Government & Institutional Partnership to provide hands-on leadership for government and institutional grant strategy, proposal development, and cross-functional coordination across a high-volume funding portfolio.

Setting: Hybrid (6 days/month onsite)
Responsibilities:

Lead the identification and evaluation of city, state, and federal funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities

Manage the development of competitive grant proposals from planning through submission

Draft, review, and edit proposal narratives, work plans, timelines, and supporting materials

Coordinate with program, finance, compliance, and leadership teams to gather content and finalize submissions

Oversee grant support staff and establish proposal production timelines, tracking tools, and handoff processes
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Government Grants, Grant Management, and Proposal Development

Bachelor's Degree
-
Experience leading complex government grant proposals

Strong familiarity with city, state, and federal funding opportunities, procurement processes, and compliance requirements

Experience managing large, multi-stakeholder submissions with budget, program, finance, compliance, and leadership input

Excellent writing, editing, project management, and deadline management skills

Experience working within a Nonprofit and/or Human Services Organization

Experience building grant tracking tools, templates, and submission calendars

Ability to strengthen internal proposal development processes and support knowledge transfer
