Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Cleaning Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across various commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, safety awareness, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal in commercial settings
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers to ensure optimal performance
- Handle chemical agents safely according to established safety procedures for sanitation and floor care
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices and safety protocols
- Maintain floors through buffing, polishing, and restorative care to ensure a professional appearance
- Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of cleaning tools and supplies
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction
Experience
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, floor buffers, and chemical handling safety procedures is highly desirable
- Experience with facilities maintenance or porter duties will be considered an asset
- Knowledge of sanitation standards, heavy lifting techniques, and safety protocol adherence is essential
- Prior involvement in cleaning or maintenance roles that require attention to detail and safety consciousness
