Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class A or B Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and be proficient in operating various types of trucks, including flatbed or dump trucks. This role involves picking up materials and bringing back to our location while ensuring the safe handling of goods. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Operate trucks safely and efficiently, including flatbed, roll-off, and dump vehicles.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Navigate routes effectively while adhering to delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during routes.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL A or B) required.
- Proven experience in route driving and freight delivery is a plus.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks, including flatbed and roll-off trucks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with dispatchers and customers.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
