Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead General Construction professional to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. This role demands a proactive leader who can manage multiple teams, ensure adherence to safety standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget. As the lead on-site authority, you will champion quality, safety, and efficiency at every stage of construction.
Duties
- Lead and supervise all phases of construction projects, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or other construction management software to monitor progress and adjust timelines proactively.
- Oversee site safety programs in compliance with OSHA regulations, conducting regular safety audits and training sessions.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
- Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes using ProCore or similar platforms to maintain clear documentation.
- Conduct quality control inspections to uphold high standards of workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for electrical testing and HeavyBid for cost estimating as needed during project execution.
- Prepare progress reports, manage project budgets, and oversee resource allocation to optimize productivity.
- Supervise on-site personnel, providing guidance on construction techniques, safety protocols, and project expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with a strong track record of supervising large teams on active sites.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other industry-standard tools.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and quality control processes.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with precision.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards coupled with experience implementing safety protocols on construction sites.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively while maintaining high morale.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including use of tools like Ohmmeter for electrical work.
