Objectives of this Role
Provide overall management for one or more projects and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular Client, groups of Clients or geographical area. Project Manager is responsible for managing all construction processes. The Project Manager must be adaptable to project specific requirements and client needs, as well as have strong communication skills. Previous experience managing Commercial, Higher Education, K-12, Healthcare and Civic projects.
Reports to: Project Executive / Vice President of Construction Operations
Job Responsibilities
· Foster long-term relationships with owner, designer, subcontractor & vendors.
· Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
· Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent and other project team members.
· Represent the firm in project meetings.
· Manage the financial aspects of contracts and all project budget reports.
· Possesses detailed process & application knowledge relating to building codes, budget management, construction practices.
· Leads job set-up, communications, safety compliance, record-keeping, quality control and closeout as needed.
· Ensures on-time delivery while maintaining team focus on safety, quality and budget.
· Foresee potential problem areas and develop methods to solve problem situation
· Promote and support the Company's Accident Prevention and Safety and Health Programs and Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
· Understand drawings, specifications, and terms/conditions of owner contract and subcontracts.
· Participate in preconstruction estimating stages including programmatic, schematic and design development.
· Lead project GMP assembly and bidding efforts. Assemble comprehensive list of assumptions and qualifications to protect the company.
· Assist with training and development of project team staff members including project engineers and project superintendents.
· Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
· Educational and experience requirements: 4 year degree in engineering or construction management; plus extensive experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance and management.
· Be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize project team performance.
· Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on project success.
· Superior communication and interpersonal skills necessary. Strong leadership, conflict management and communication skills (verbal and written); able to build rapport and negotiate skillfully.
· Strong organizational and planning skills; able to effectively allocate and develop resources.
· Results-focused; able to effectively delegate and follow-up.
· Professional, dependable and ethical. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
· 30 hour OSHA training certificate.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
