Ark La Tex Tire & Transmissions located in Florien, LA is seeking a highly skilled Master Mechanic / Master Automotive Technician to join our growing team. This is a top-tier position for an experienced professional who excels in advanced diagnostics, complex repairs, and delivering high-quality workmanship with efficiency and precision.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics on mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance issues
- Accurately identify root causes and complete complex repairs with minimal supervision
- Work on all major vehicle systems including engine, transmission, HVAC, suspension, steering, brakes, cooling, and advanced electrical systems
- Use OEM-level scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and service information systems
- Verify customer concerns, document findings, and ensure repairs fully resolve issues
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify safety, maintenance, and repair needs
- Maintain high productivity while ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members
- Contribute to shop efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall performance
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Master Technician or equivalent advanced skill level
- Strong diagnostic ability across modern automotive systems
- ASE Master Certification or equivalent manufacturer certifications preferred
- Ability to independently handle complex repairs and diagnostics
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must provide professional-grade personal tools (specialty tools provided by shop)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime available
