Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. The OTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) to provide therapeutic services that promote independence, skill development, and improved quality of life for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising OT.
- Support children in areas such as fine/gross motor skills, self-care, sensory regulation, and functional independence.
- Collect accurate data and maintain session documentation in compliance with Koala ABA standards.
- Collaborate with OTs, BCBAs, RBTs, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide family education and caregiver support as directed by the supervising OT.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current OTA licensure in the state of Florida.
- Experience working with children, preferably in autism or pediatric therapy settings.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work per diem, with flexible availability as needed.
