General Description:
Cal Coast Acidizing is seeking an experienced and motivated Facility Manager to oversee daily operations at our Bakersfield facility. This position is responsible for managing facility personnel, chemical blending and loading operations, dispatch coordination, inventory control, equipment maintenance, regulatory compliance, and overall operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong leadership and organizational skills, and has a solid understanding of DOT regulations, commercial vehicle operations, chemical handling, and oilfield service operations. The Facility Manager will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of all yard and facility activities while supporting customer service and operational goals.
This is a safety-sensitive position subject to pre-employment, random, and post-incident drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policy.
Job Details:
- Manage all day-to-day facility, yard, and warehouse operations.
- Supervise facility personnel, chemical blending operations, and product loading activities.
- Coordinate dispatch activities and support field operations to ensure timely service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of chemical products, including acid and stimulation fluids.
- Maintain inventory levels and coordinate product deliveries with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor and maintain chemical storage areas, loading docks, and facility grounds.
- Oversee maintenance, inspections, and regulatory compliance of commercial vehicles, tankers, and equipment.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections, inventory, operational logs, maintenance records, and incident reports.
- Develop and maintain efficient operational processes to support a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate facility personnel while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
- Coordinate annual tanker certifications, vehicle inspections, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Work closely with customers, vendors, drivers, and field personnel to support operational objectives.
- Respond to operational issues and provide leadership during high-pressure situations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperature extremes.
- Ability to walk, climb, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to safely work around heavy equipment, chemical products, and industrial machinery.
- Ability to wear required PPE including FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and respiratory protection when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in oilfield operations, chemical services, transportation, logistics, or industrial operations.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle compliance.
- Experience managing commercial vehicle fleets, maintenance programs, and transportation operations.
- Experience with chemical blending, chemical loading, bulk liquid handling, or hazardous material operations preferred.
- Oil and gas service industry experience strongly preferred.
- Class A Commercial Driver's License preferred.
- HazMat and Tanker endorsements preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
