Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Hypermobility Coach/Instructor to empower individuals with hypermobility conditions through specialized movement guidance and tailored exercise programs. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver customized hypermobility-focused coaching sessions that incorporate elements of swimming, martial arts, climbing, or other sports-specific training to enhance mobility and strength.
- Assess clients’ movement patterns, flexibility levels, and physical limitations to develop effective training plans.
- Educate clients on safe stretching techniques, joint stability exercises, and injury prevention strategies aligned with their hypermobility needs.
- Lead engaging group or individual classes that integrate sports coaching skills such as soccer, basketball, cheerleading, or judo to promote active participation.
- Maintain clear communication with clients regarding progress updates, safety protocols, and personalized recommendations.
- Ensure all sessions adhere to first aid and CPR guidelines; operate AED devices when necessary to handle emergencies promptly.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages positive behavior management and motivates clients of all ages, especially children and students.
Experience
- Previous experience working as a sports coach, physical education instructor, or fitness trainer with children or youth populations.
- Demonstrated expertise in sports-specific training instruction across disciplines such as soccer coaching, basketball coaching, karate (including Judo), cheerleading, climbing, or martial arts like karate or judo.
- Lifeguard experience combined with swimming proficiency is highly desirable for aquatic-related programs.
- Background in health club or gym environments with familiarity in working with diverse client groups.
- Proven ability to lead teams or groups effectively while managing behavior positively in active settings.
- Strong communication skills for engaging clients of varying ages and backgrounds; experience in client communication is essential.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are required; AED operation knowledge is preferred.
- Experience teaching physical education or working within childcare settings enhances your suitability for this role.
