Join our dynamic team as a Water Restoration Technician / Mold Remediation Worker and become a vital part of restoring properties and lives after water damage, flooding, or mold issues. In this energetic role, you will respond swiftly to emergency calls, assess damage, and execute comprehensive restoration and mold remediation services. Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls for water damage, flood restoration, and mold remediation projects, demonstrating readiness for on-call coverage.
- Conduct thorough assessments of affected areas using hand tools, power tools, and Xactimate estimating software to determine scope of work.
- Perform water extraction, drying, cleaning, and mold removal using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection gear.
- Utilize a variety of tools including hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and specialized remediation tools to restore properties efficiently.
- Follow strict safety protocols during all restoration activities to ensure personal safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly to transport equipment and personnel to job sites while maintaining vehicle safety standards.
- Document all work performed with detailed reports and photographs; communicate progress effectively with clients and team members.
- Assist with fire restoration projects when needed, including debris removal and cleaning processes.
- Adhere to environmental regulations such as asbestos abatement procedures when required during remediation tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site; ensure all equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
Experience
- Prior experience in the restoration industry or construction is highly preferred; familiarity with water damage restoration techniques is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of mold remediation procedures, including mold testing and containment practices.
- Experience operating hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning machines, and Xactimate estimating software is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols rigorously, including PPE use and respiratory protection measures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients during stressful situations.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or moving furniture during restorations.
- Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations for emergency response coverage at any time of day or night.
