Job Overview
Seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer/Mini Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various tasks supporting the drilling/restoration crews on installation of underground telecommunications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, the ability to work effectively in the field, attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT CANDIDTATE WILLING TO LEARN.
**Additional compensation will be considered for the right candidate holding a valid CDL and/or prior experience in the industry.**
Requirements:
- Prior experience with equipment, construction, or manual labor is highly desirable, but not required; we value motivation and reliability above all else
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment is a plus.
- Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn new skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including mud.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods of time.
- Valid Drivers license (CDL is a plus)
- DOT Medical card or ability to obtain one
Responsibilities:
- Assist with underground installation projects including but not limited to cleaning and clearing debris
- Operate excavators & water trucks to complete various tasks.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Must be able to perform hand digging with a shovel, trenching, pot holes, and back filling.
- Load & unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed
- Operate basic hand and power tools
- Follow direction
- Restore disturbed areas of the job site
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
