Experienced Quality Inspector – Precision Machine Shop
Summary
We are a precision CNC machine shop seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to support our Quality Control department. The ideal candidate will have experience inspecting machined components and working with precision measuring equipment and engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment.
This role involves performing first article, in-process, pre-operation, and final inspections to ensure components meet print specifications and quality standards. The inspector will work closely with, and support, production departments to maintain and improve quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform first article, in-process, pre-operation, and final inspections on precision machined components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and inspection requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment and conventional inspection tools including micrometers, bore gages, indicators, gage blocks, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Verify parts meet all print specifications and quality standards.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Communicate inspection findings with machinists, supervisors, and quality personnel.
- Identify and report nonconforming parts.
Qualifications
- Experience using precision measuring instruments (height gage, comparator, micrometers, bore gages, indicators, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple inspection tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components in manufacturing environments.
- CMM operation experience.
- Experience performing first article inspections.
- Familiarity with GD&T concepts.
- Experience supporting quality systems, inspection documentation, and continuous improvement.

Schedule
Full-time – Overtime available and required as needed.

Pay: Up to $35.00 per hour
