Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and execute estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
- Advise clients on estate tax planning, charitable giving, asset protection, and wealth transfer strategies.
- Manage trust administration matters while ensuring compliance with fiduciary obligations and legal requirements.
- Handle probate and estate administration proceedings from initial filing through final distribution.
- Conduct legal research and analysis using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and related resources.
- Resolve disputes involving estates, trusts, and probate matters through negotiation, mediation, or litigation when necessary.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to create comprehensive estate plans tailored to client needs.
- Stay informed about changes in estate planning laws, probate procedures, tax regulations, and related legal developments affecting clients.
- Maintain organized case files, detailed records, and timely client communication throughout all stages of representation.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with no pending or past disciplinary actions.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of Trusts & Estates, Estate Planning, Probate, or Elder Law experience preferred, with preference for candidates with 5+ years of experience.
- Strong understanding of probate procedures, estate planning strategies, and trust administration.
- Excellent legal writing, communication, and client counseling skills.
- Demonstrated experience with legal research platforms including Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently manage client matters while working collaboratively within a team environment.
- High-speed internet and a workspace conducive to remote work.
- Ability to reliably travel throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania as needed for client meetings, court appearances, and related proceedings.
What We Offer
Competitive Salary:
Ranging from $85,000 - $125,000, with compensation reflecting experience, productivity, and bonus incentives.
