What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.

Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized entry while following post orders and applicable protocols for a government location.

Prepare written reports on incidents, patrol activities, and/or observed conditions, and support Allied Universal and site management with timely updates regarding security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:

Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required by state and/or local law.

Possess a college degree.

Be at least 21 years of age.

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
