Perform startups, certifications, preventative maintenance, and scheduled maintenance on UPS and battery systems.

Install, troubleshoot, repair, start up, and commission all types of UPS systems, including replacements and new installations.

Diagnose and resolve routine and emergency issues with minimal disruption to customers.

Lead projects with multiple crew members, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met.

Communicate effectively with general contractors, subcontractors, partners, and clients to complete projects on schedule and within budget.

Operate and maintain equipment such as UPS systems, battery systems, PDUs, ATS, and AC/DC rectifiers.

Assess manpower requirements and estimate materials and consumables needed for project completion.

Promote a positive team environment, demonstrating leadership, good judgment, and a commitment to safety.

Train and mentor less experienced technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Maintain regular and reliable attendance and perform other duties as assigned by management.

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
3 to 5 years of experience servicing UPS systems.

Electrical and mechanical experience with UPS systems, DC systems, and familiarity with major OEMs (e.g., Eaton, Mitsubishi, Schneider, APC, GE, Emerson).

Knowledge of or willingness to learn basic AC/DC theory, electronic components, and circuitry.

Experience using diagnostic tools such as digital multimeters, amp clamps, phase rotation meters, power quality analyzers, IR cameras, and oscilloscopes.

Understanding of proper use of isolation devices, arc-flash suits, and PPE.

Competency in series, parallel, and series-parallel connections.

Ability to interpret torque values, apply torque marks, and visually inspect completed installations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to travel as required for project assignments.
