We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker/Pastry Team Member to join our amazing team. We are looking for a talented pastry professional to add to our already stellar kitchen crew for morning production at our bustling downtown bakery. Ideal candidate would have some commercial kitchen experience, a culinary/baking background, a passion for a perfect product, excellent references, a positive attitude, and a hard working mentality. Prior baking experience or work in scratch baking environment a plus!

Duties
- Assist in the preparation and production of baked goods, including confections, pastries, and cakes.
- Bulk production of cake batters, buttercreams, cookies, and pastries.
- Measure ingrediants with care and follow established recipes for our menu items daily.
- Frost cupcakes for cafe case daily and custom orders for clients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety standards.
- Work seamlessly with our kitchen team to meet daily needs in a positive workspace.
- Support pastry team by contributing creative ideas to enhance product offerings.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred but not required.
- Strong team skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is important.
- Basic skills in food preparation and production techniques.
- Experience in scratch baking a plus; willingness to learn is key.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Base Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
