Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to sets the tone for the entire human resources department. From employee relations to payroll to compliance issues, the HR department helps ensure that Falcona runs smoothly. The HR Manager guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for Falcona. The HR Manager determines or is assigned the duties and job responsibilities that are required by the senior management team to meet the needs of their workforce management. The HR Manager is responsible for coordinating all activities related to Falcona’s personnel. Their duties include developing recruitment strategies, implementing systems for managing staff benefits, payroll, employee behavior, and onboarding new employees.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements HR strategies/initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Supports current/future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
- Bridges management/employee relations by addressing demands, complaints, or other issues.
- Enhances the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
- Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements/descriptions for all positions.
- Supports organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
- Prepares employees for assignments by establishing/conducting orientation/training programs.
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors.
- Implements employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs.
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and representing the organization at hearings.
- Enforces management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
- Retains/evaluates historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and/or keeping past and current records and develops recommended improvements to the system.
- Counsels and disciplines employees in support of the Falcona’s Employee Performance Plans (EPPs) and other matters.
- Cultivates professional/technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Manages human resource functions by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Manage training programs, employee relations, timekeeping and payroll, and company employee and community communication (news releases),
- Identifies/develops applications for company awards, and
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business, or related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with presentations skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with the human resources information systems.
- Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
- Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning.
- Displays judgement in protecting and managing company information.
- Attention to detail.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
