We're looking for a long term, full time receptionist who can grow with us and is passionate about animals, client service, and enjoys creating a warm, organized experience for pet owners.
Candidates must be a responsible team player who can comfortably communicate well - both written and verbal - with clients, team members and the doctors, possess strong work ethics and need to be reliable and punctual. Must be able to multi task efficiently, and pay attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering multi-line phones and responding to client calls and messages promptly and professionally
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Greeting clients and patients warmly upon arrival
- Checking clients in and out, processing payments, and managing invoices
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records in our practice management software
- Communicating with clients about treatment plans and follow-up care as directed by the medical team
- Assisting with basic administrative tasks (filing, faxing records, ordering supplies, etc.)
- Multitasking in a busy front-office environment while staying calm and organized
- Standard opening and closing procedures
Candidates should be familiar with basic computer skills and comfortable learning veterinary practice management software. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
We'd like someone who is an excellent communicator, a team player, and able to de-escalate stressful situations with empathetic, professional customer service.
