JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Job Title: Banquet Chef
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to:
FLSA Status: $17/hour + Share in Tips Pool
POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT
We are looking for a motivated working chef to manage all culinary aspects of the Food and Beverage Department. The ideal candidate should have great organizational skills, knowledge of food safety practices, and be able to lead a team successfully. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Responsibilities:
· Set up the kitchen for maximum order and efficiency with cooking utensils and equipment like knives, pans, and kitchen scales
· Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
· Cook food promptly
· Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
· Execute appealing plate presentation
· Supervise cooks and assist as needed
· Accommodate for allergies and food preferences
· Monitor inventory and place orders
· Maximize product by cross-utilization to reduce waste.
· Create menus in keeping with the event
· Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
· Maintain order and cleanliness in all assigned areas
· State products for menu prep
