We are seeking an experienced construction laborer to join our Landscaping Crew to work in an existing team on landscaping projects and lead a team of skilled workers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape instillation, construction, and some plant experience, along with excellent leadership abilities. This role requires hands-on experience with various landscaping tasks, including hardscaping, planting, water features and creative design installation. Growth potential and pay advancement to Crew Leader is possible with proven success.
Responsibilities
- Work together with a team of landscapers in daily operations and project execution.
- Coordinate landscaping projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to design specifications.
- Perform various landscaping tasks including landscaping installation, and hardscape construction.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and equipment such as excavators for landscape maintenance.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure safety compliance and quality control.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition through regular checks and repairs.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscaping, construction or related fields.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and machinery.
- Familiarity with horticulture principles and practices or willingness to learn.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other landscaping machinery safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
- Excellent teamwork and ability to get along with crew, motivate and stay on task.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
