Job Description:
Flowers by John Kent is seeking a Junior Floral Designer to join our team on an apprenticeship-style track. This role is built for individuals who are serious about becoming high-level floral designers and want real training—not just a job.
You will work directly under experienced designers in one of the most established floral operations in New Orleans. This is hands-on, real-world training involving daily production, event work, and high-end design execution.
This is not a casual position. Expectations are high, the pace is fast, and the standard is professional. In return, you gain access to an environment designed to develop skilled, confident designers.
Requirements (must meet all):
- Must be able to lift 60+ pounds regularly
- Must have basic knowledge of flowers and plants
- Must have reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and dependability
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and improve quickly
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
Preferred (not required):
- Previous floral or design experience
- Experience in fast-paced or production environments

Interview Process:
