Duties
- Prepare and replenish breakfast items with precision, ensuring freshness and presentation meet high standards
- Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet area, including arranging food displays and condiments to enhance visual appeal
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming stations
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to uphold hygiene standards and prevent contamination
- Assist with food handling, portioning, and basic food preparation tasks in accordance with health regulations
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly to maintain a spotless environment
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems when handling guest payments or tips
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly and addressing their needs promptly
- Support catering or banquet setups as needed to ensure smooth service during special events or large groups
- Adhere to manual handling guidelines when lifting or moving heavy items such as trays or bulk supplies
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures essential for maintaining hygiene standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor in face-to-face interactions
- Basic math skills necessary for processing transactions accurately
- Experience with food preparation, food handling, and cleaning routines required
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing payments is advantageous
- Previous banquet, catering, or culinary experience enhances your suitability for this role
- Ability to lift weights safely in accordance with workplace guidelines; comfortable with manual handling tasks
