Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential support to patients in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with disabilities.
- Able to work up to 12 hour shifts. 1-3 times per week.
- Must be able to pass background.
- Reliable Transportation is required.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.
- Help with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
- Monitor patient health by observing and reporting changes in condition or behavior.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical equipment when necessary.
- Perform catheter care and other specialized tasks as required by the patient's care plan.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to hygiene standards.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any concerns or changes in condition.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Certification in CPR is preferred.
- Previous experience in caregiving, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient observation techniques is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Ability to perform assisted living tasks efficiently, including cooking nutritious meals for patients.
- CNA, PCA, or HHA certification preferred
