Overview
EZ Custom Builds is a small, locally owned design-build construction company serving Laramie and the surrounding area. We perform all phases of residential and light commercial construction, so the work is always changing. One day you may be framing, the next installing windows, building decks, setting cabinets, pouring concrete, or helping with finish carpentry.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys learning new skills, and wants to be part of a team that builds projects from start to finish.
We understand that school comes first and are willing to work around college class schedules whenever possible.
Pay starts at $20.00 per hour and is based on experience, attitude, work ethic, and ability to learn.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor to support framing, masonry, roofing, and finishing tasks
- Operate power tools, hand tools, concrete mixers, and concrete pumps safely and efficiently
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to follow project specifications accurately
- Support concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction to ensure quality results
- Install rebar, metal studs, drywall, stucco, tile, flooring, and perform restoration or renovation work
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience working on construction projects
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete-related machinery
- Some knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, concrete cutting, and concrete pumping processes or the willingness to learn
- Carpentry (including trim carpentry), framing, tile laying, flooring installation.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during all phases of construction
