The Farmhouse Coffee & Espresso Bar is looking for Baristas to join our team! This is an opportunity to be a part of a unique venture bringing the highest quality Coffee, hand crafted beverages and baked goods to Downingtown, Pa. We are looking for baristas who have a passion for people, a love for coffee and the desire to work in a friendly environment focused on quality and top-notch customer service.
A Coffee & Espresso Bar located in Downingtown, Pa, The Farmhouse features specialty coffee and hand crafted beverages. Our in-house bakery features classic treats baked fresh daily with a focus on quality and taste. We are an extension of our community, a meeting place and see coffee as a way of bringing people together.
The Farmhouse offers a friendly and cozy atmosphere for our neighbors to gather. We look forward to bringing our love for specialty coffee, tasty treats and exceptional hospitality to the people of Chester County!
Requirements for successful applicants:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a barista in a high volume cafe or roaster
- Must have extensive knowledge of Coffee, Espresso, Milk Steaming, Dial In, Latte Art and barista responsibilities
- Experience crafting espresso beverages in a fast paced environment
- A passion for people, hospitality and providing exceptional customer service
- Must be available to work day-time hours
- Excellent communication skills and outgoing personality to engage with team and customers with the
- Have a desire to continuously build a knowledge of specialty coffee, pastry and all menu offerings
- Must be available to work on Sundays and be consistent and reliable in staffing

Lead Barista/Coffee Trainer responsibilities include:
- New employee on boarding and team skill development
- Coffee and Espresso Bar Training
- Maintaining quality control of all Coffee and Espresso Bar products
- Maintaining a clean an organized work environment
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced Cafe environment
- Working knowledge of manual espresso and brewing equipment
- Deliver beverages to Farmhouse standards and artistic standards
- Consistent crafting of all beverage per menu with the ability to share knowlege of the menu offerings with customers
- Responsible for managing register transactions
- Be a positive team player and work well with others
- Maintain excellent customer service while multi tasking and engaging with customers
- Maintain and accurate knowledge of all menu offerings including pastry
- Maintain clean and well stocked service areas and work stations
- Full compliance with all health and safety standards
