Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Refrigeration & HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and mechanical systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure our clients’ systems operate efficiently and reliably, contributing to their comfort and operational success.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair commercial refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning units, boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, building automation systems, and other mechanical systems.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics, plumbing repairs, welding, and equipment repairs to resolve system issues promptly.
- Install new HVAC/R equipment following HVAC design specifications and building codes.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments to identify electrical or mechanical faults.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations related to refrigerants and other hazardous materials while handling refrigerant recovery or disposal.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in commercial refrigeration or HVAC fields with construction or property maintenance background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and building automation systems.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL or <PERSON> driver certification is a plus.
- Certifications such as EPA refrigerant handling certification are required; additional certifications in welding or ammonia refrigeration are advantageous.
- Experience with equipment repair, mechanical systems repair, appliance repair, and property maintenance is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of electrical diagnostics tools like ohmmeters and experience with HVAC/R field service operations.
- Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
