Positions are available both full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time (.5 FTE), with assignments at a single campus—each geared toward fostering growth, independence, and academic success.
What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Colorado Department of Education teaching certification with Special Education endorsement.
- Experience supporting students with significant autism needs; familiarity with AAC devices strongly preferred.
- Skill in cultivating life skills and adaptive strategies for elementary-aged students.
- Background in de-escalating challenging behaviors and implementing data-driven systems.
- Ability to mentor and manage other adults in a team-teaching model.
- Comfort and sensitivity providing instruction to non-verbal students and those with a wide range of support needs—cognitive, mobility, communication, and social/emotional.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction in structured or self-contained learning environments for students K–12 (classroom sizes around 8–15).
- Build classroom communities that encourage skill development and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with paraeducators, other teachers, and specialized service providers to maximize student success.
- Implement individualized educational and behavioral plans, consistently collecting and analyzing data to tailor instruction and support.
- Create and maintain a safe, positive learning space that values each child’s unique abilities.
