EC Teacher Assistant
School Mission: Cape Fear Center for Inquiry is a K-8 public charter school located in

HOURS: Part-time, 29 hours per week
SALARY: $17.60 per hour
TERM: 2026-2027 School Year

Position Responsibilities:
● Work with Special Needs student(s) with mild/moderate disabilities, including
Autism, learning, behavioral and intellectual disabilities
● Assist teachers in providing modified academic and functional instruction across school settings
● Assist teachers in data collection
● Monitor student behavior regulation and encourage positive social skills across all school settings
● Participate in crisis prevention and restraint training as provided by the school
● Other duties as assigned by the EC Coordinator
Qualifications:
● Experience with children with special needs in the school setting preferred
● Instructional Experience – Specific training and/or teaching experience related to the teaching of students with a wide variety of educational and behavioral needs
● Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly and under the supervision of a wide variety of special and general education teachers / administrators in a support capacity
