Recruit Staff Hire is assisting a respected New Orleans law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with a background in trucking, transportation, or insurance defense litigation.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented paralegal who enjoys working on complex litigation matters, managing discovery, organizing medical and case records, and supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation.
Responsibilities:
The paralegal will assist attorneys with trucking and transportation-related litigation matters, including:
- Drafting, reviewing, and organizing pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Managing case files, deadlines, calendars, and litigation documents
- Reviewing and summarizing medical records, accident reports, discovery responses, and case materials
- Coordinating with clients, experts, witnesses, court personnel, and opposing counsel
- Assisting with trial preparation, deposition preparation, exhibits, and case organization
Requirements:
Qualified candidates should have:
- Prior litigation paralegal experience, preferably in trucking, transportation, insurance defense, casualty, or personal injury defense
- Strong understanding of discovery, deadlines, court filings, and litigation procedures
- Experience reviewing medical records, accident-related documents, and case materials
- Excellent organization, writing, communication, and follow-up skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced law firm environment

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
