Sand Hollow Resort is a premier destination to Escape. Play. Discover. Relax. One of Southern Utah’s top-ranked golf destinations, our golf course is ranked in the top 50 out of the 100 top resort golf courses. The resort encompasses over 180 units ranging from one (1) to six (6) bedrooms for guests to relax in during their stay. Dine in our picturesque restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the gorgeous Southern Utah mountain ranges. The Section Leader plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the golf course resort, overseeing a specific team or area such as groundskeeping, guest services, or course maintenance. This individual ensures the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service are met while providing leadership and support to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of a designated team
- Ensure that all work in the section is completed efficiently, safely, and to the resort’s quality standards
- Train, mentor, and support staff, providing guidance and performance feedback
- Assist in scheduling and workforce planning for the section
- Monitor and report on section performance, including guest feedback and maintenance issues
- Collaborate with other section leaders and managers to ensure seamless resort operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
- Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies, and report needs or issues to management
- Support resort events, tournaments, and guest experiences as needed
- Lead by example with excellent customer service, professionalism, and attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Experience in performing course set-up (cutting cups, moving tees, etc.)
- Proven availability in mowing all playing surfaces at a golf course
- Involvement in maintaining bunkers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance standards and procedures
- Physical ability to perform duties outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills:
- Golf course equipment operation and maintenance
- Irrigation knowledge preferred (or willing to be trained)
- Turf management or horticulture knowledge
- Customer service
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20/hr - $22/hr
