Job Overview
Join our transportation team as a Paratransit Driver with a CDL, where you will be picking up and dropping off passengers along designated routes. In this role, you will operate vehicles designed to provide accessible transportation services for individuals with mobility challenges, seniors, and other passengers requiring reliable transit options.
Duties
- Safely operate paratransit vans or buses in accordance with traffic laws, vehicle codes, and company policies.
- Provide courteous, professional assistance to passengers, including those with disabilities or special needs, ensuring their comfort and safety during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and vehicle maintenance reports; complete incident reports as necessary.
- Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including those requiring senior care support
Skills
- Proven experience in bus driving, commercial driving, or heavy vehicle operation with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Ability to perform quick responses to traffic changes and manage emergency stop procedures confidently.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude; capable of handling situations professionally.
Pay: $1,005.00 - $1,540.00 per week
