As a Material Handler, you will play a vital role in our warehouse and production operations by ensuring the efficient, accurate, and timely movement of materials throughout the facility. This position combines hands-on warehouse responsibilities with inventory control and administrative support to maintain accurate records and ensure smooth daily operations.
Warehouse Operations

Pick, pull, stage, stock, rack, stack, organize, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.

Prepare customer orders for shipment by accurately packaging, labeling, and staging materials.

Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through routine housekeeping and dock maintenance.
Inventory & Material Control

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.

Perform inventory transactions using warehouse management or ERP software.

Process daily inventory movements, transfers, receipts, and shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records.

Conduct cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.

Replenish inventory locations and monitor stock levels to support production and customer demand.

Track materials throughout the warehouse and production process using barcode scanners or inventory management systems.
Shipping, Receiving & Order Processing

Pull customer and production orders according to work orders and shipping schedules.

Prepare shipping documentation, packing lists, labels, and other required paperwork.

Package materials using appropriate methods, including crating, foam wrapping, bubble wrapping, plastic wrapping, insulating, and custom packaging for domestic and international shipments.

Coordinate with production, purchasing, and shipping teams to ensure materials are available and orders are completed on time.
Administrative & Computer Responsibilities

Enter and maintain accurate inventory and shipping data in ERP or warehouse management systems.

Process daily inventory transactions, work orders, receipts, transfers, and shipping records.

Utilize Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word, for communication, tracking, and reporting.

Maintain organized inventory, shipping, and receiving documentation.

Assist with generating inventory reports, updating spreadsheets, and supporting daily operational recordkeeping.

Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding inventory discrepancies, shipment status, and material availability.
Material Handling

Safely operate pallet jacks, handcarts, forklifts (if certified), and other material handling equipment.

Follow established safety procedures and quality standards while handling materials and equipment.

High School Diploma or GED required.

1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, shipping & receiving, manufacturing, or production environment.

Experience with inventory management, order pulling, shipping, receiving, and material handling.

Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, or computerized inventory software is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Ability to accurately process inventory transactions, maintain documentation, and perform basic data entry.

Experience performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Ability to safely lift and move materials and perform the physical requirements of a warehouse environment.
This role may be authorized to access Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) as required to perform assigned duties related to defense contract work.
