Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with strong
domain expertise in Turbine/Compressor Disk Manufacturing within the Gas Turbine or
Aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in critical
machining processes and a proven track record in process optimization, quality
improvement, and cost reduction initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Expertise in Turbine/Compressor Disk Manufacturing
Lead and support manufacturing processes for Turbine/Compressor disks
Deep expertise in: Broaching, Curvic Grinding, Tip Grinding, Balancing.
Ensure adherence to aerospace quality standards and process compliance
Support new product introduction (NPI) and process development
Analyze machine cycle times and identify improvement opportunities
Implement strategies to reduce cycle time and improve throughput
Optimize tool usage, machining parameters, and setups
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles for efficiency improvement
Analyze rejection trends and identify root causes
Drive initiatives for scrap reduction and yield improvement
Work closely with quality and production teams to improve first-pass yield
Enhance process capability (Cp/Cpk) and ensure process stability
Develop and standardize best practices across machining processes
Support process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
Requirements:
Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Aerospace engineering
Strong knowledge of aerospace materials and machining processes
Hands-on experience with CNC machining, grinding, and precision finishing
Expertise in process optimization tools (Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, Root Cause
Analysis)
Familiarity with GD&T, engineering drawings, and tolerance stack-up analysis
Good understanding of balancing techniques and rotating components
Ability to work cross-functionally with design, quality, and production teams
Preferred:
Experience in Gas Turbine, Aero Engine, or Rotating Equipment manufacturing
Exposure to tight-tolerance machining and high-precision Gas Turbine
components
Hands-on involvement in process validation and industrialization
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
