Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and organization
- Handle animals with gentle restraint techniques to ensure safety during cleaning, feeding, and medical procedures
- Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly
- Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor walks to promote physical activity and mental stimulation
- Uphold pet care facility sanitization standards to ensure a hygienic environment for animals and staff
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during kennel cleaning or equipment setup
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and visitors
- Outdoor work experience to handle pets during walks or outdoor playtime
