We are seeking for a part-time experienced and reliable pet groomer who loves working with fur babies. The part-time position days are Wednesday, Saturday and some Sunday's.
Responsibilities:
- Provide grooming services to a variety of pets, including dogs and cats
- Perform bathing, brushing, and haircutting according to customer preferences and breed standards
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process
- Handle pets with care and compassion, using positive reinforcement techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
- Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming needs and preferences
- Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions from pet owners
Experience:
- Have at least 1+ years of experience as a pet groomer in a salon setting
-A license is not required
- Knowledge of different breeds and their specific grooming requirements
- Familiarity with grooming tools and equipment, such as clippers, shears, brushes, and shampoos
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality grooming services
- Excellent communication skills with both pets and pet owners
Skills:
- Animal care experience
- Customer service skills to provide a positive experience for pet owners
- Pet sitting experience is beneficial for understanding pet behavior and handling techniques
- Proficiency in dog handling techniques, including leash control and restraint methods
- Ability to lift heavy pets or equipment when necessary
- Familiarity with kennel operations or equine care is an added advantage
