We are seeking an Accounts Specialist (Scranton Office) to provide assistance with money management and budgeting to persons who have a mental illness, persons who have developmental disabilities, or older adults, who are unable to manage their monthly financial affairs.
Healthy work-life balance with every other Friday 11:30 AM dismissal with a full days pay.
Requirements:
- Implementation of representative payee services;
- Maintaining a caseload of participants receiving representative payee services;
- Establishing budgets for participants;
- Writing checks and making deposits for participants;
- Completing applications (e.g., social security, public assistance, housing, etc.) for participants;
- Working with Outlook 365 and Microsoft Office Suite platforms; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Commitment to the Alliance mission and values;
- Knowledge of budgeting principles;
- Ability to learn and manipulate a proprietary software system;
- Ability to meet timelines;
- Ability to learn Social Security regulations;
- Ability to multi-task;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Customer service capabilities; and
- Professional communication skills.
Preferred skills and experience:
- Behavioral health experience;
- Accounting knowledge a plus; and
- 5 years working experience.
