We are seeking a qualified Site Safety Manager with experience in project safety management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor job sites to ensure full compliance with OSHA, NYS, and local safety standards.
- Prepare accident and incident reports, maintaining thorough and accurate safety documentation.
- This role involves preparing safety documentation, reviewing safety plans, managing certifications, and maintaining emergency equipment.
- Track and manage employee safety certifications, including OSHA training records.
- Maintain and inspect AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices across all assigned locations; coordinate replacements as needed.
- Develop and deliver safety presentations and training sessions for staff.
- Research and recommend continuing education and safety training opportunities for employees.
- Review and approve site-specific safety plans for new or ongoing projects.
- Provide safety-related consultation to site supervisors and project managers as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience in project safety or construction safety management.
- Certifications: OSHA 30-hour certification (Required).
- Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA, New York State, and local safety regulations.
- Technical Skills: Ability to prepare safety reports and maintain compliance records.
- Experience with AED maintenance and safety equipment inspections.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and resolve safety issues proactively.
- Other Requirements: Completion of all required safety training and certifications applicable to the role.
