Duties
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through warm calling, networking, and industry events to expand our flooring customer base.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial and residential clients, contractors, interior designers, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct detailed needs assessments to recommend appropriate flooring solutions tailored to client specifications.
- Present product features, benefits, and technical details confidently to clients, emphasizing value propositions and competitive advantages.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts effectively to close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Utilize CRM tools to track leads, manage account information, and analyze sales data for strategic planning.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement targeted campaigns that generate leads and increase brand awareness within the B2B market.
- Provide ongoing account management support post-sale to ensure customer retention, repeat business, and referrals.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new product launches, and competitive activities to maintain a leadership position in the flooring sector.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within flooring, building materials, or related industries involving B2B sales.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals effectively while maintaining positive client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability in business development through prospecting, warm calling, and networking strategies.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to articulate technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for managing sales pipelines and customer data analysis.
- Knowledge of marketing principles relevant to product promotion and lead generation.
- Technical sales experience involving flooring products or related construction materials is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyze market data to identify opportunities for growth and develop strategic plans accordingly.
