We are looking for a Sales and Business Development professional with a proven track record in business development and client acquisition within the staffing and recruitment industry. This is a hunter role for a driven sales professional who excels at prospecting, cold calling, building relationships, and closing new business.
Your sole focus will be identifying and securing new business opportunities throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Success in this role requires persistence, a competitive mindset, and a passion for building new client relationships from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the hunt: Identify, target, and secure new business through proactive outreach, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Leverage your experience: Use your deep understanding of staffing and workforce solutions to create value-based pitches tailored to client pain points and hiring needs.
- Engage decision-makers: Consistently connect with and sell to C-level executives, VPs, Directors, and Hiring Managers across enterprise accounts and mid-market companies.
- Develop and grow accounts: Build long-term, strategic partnerships with clients through exceptional service, relationship management, and industry insight.
- Work collaboratively: Partner with internal recruiters to align delivery capabilities with client demand, ensuring high fill rates and client satisfaction.
- Drive full sales cycle: From lead generation to contract negotiation and close, manage the entire client acquisition process.
- Track performance: Maintain and manage a strong sales pipeline via CRM and report on KPIs, forecast revenue, and identify growth opportunities.
- Mentor junior team members (as needed): Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to less-experienced sales staff.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience in the staffing and recruitment industry (required)
- Proven success in ahunterrole, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Deep understanding of staffing sales processes (contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent placements)
- Strong existing network of decision-makers and industry contacts
- Highly skilled in cold calling, prospecting, pipeline management, and closing
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, HR, or a related field preferred
