American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a PA or Compact license and prior travel nursing experience.

Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital environment
-
Patient population is primarily a mix of MS Tele and PCU patients
-
Patient ratios are a minimum of 5-6:1
-
Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
-
13-week assignment length
-
Cerner EMR experience preferred
-
Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
-
Candidates must be available to work every other holiday

Active PA or Compact RN license required

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Previous travel nursing experience required

Cerner charting system experience preferred
-
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Provide telemetry nursing care to a mix of MS Tele and PCU/stepdown patients
-
Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of rapid response/code teams
-
Skills utilized may include IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
-
Respiratory care skills such as BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, and oxygen administration may be required
-
Experience with cardiac drips, thrombolytic agents, and heparin protocols is relevant to this role
-
Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers

Local candidates are accepted at the travel rate

Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though the same schedule cannot be guaranteed
