- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and preventive care strategies.
- Take and develop diagnostic radiology images such as X-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, documenting patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes with precision.
- Monitor patient conditions during appointments and report any concerns or abnormalities to the dental team promptly.
- Support clinic operations by handling medical documentation, maintaining sterilization protocols, and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist with state-specific certification.
- Proven experience in dental hygiene practice or a similar healthcare setting; clinic experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, dental procedures, and diagnostic radiology techniques.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively during patient care activities.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping and documentation management.
- Excellent client communication skills to educate patients clearly and empathetically about their oral health needs.
- Additional qualifications such as critical care experience, blood sampling skills, CPR certification, and experience with medical documentation are advantageous.
