School Bus Driver position at The STAR School
The STAR School is a dynamic, award-winning Pre-K through 8th Grade Public Charter School that serves a primarily Native American population near Flagstaff and Leupp, AZ.
Position Requirements:

A valid CDL to operate a school bus

Current DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card and First Aid/CPR Certifications (all required upon hire)

Able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including the safe operation of the assigned vehicle.

Able to read and understand route sheet and simple instructions
-
Effective communication with passengers, parents and school officials
-
Able to complete pre & post-trip inspections and keep buses clean
-
Able to work in a team environment and take direction from supervisors
-
Willing to perform other duties as needed
Desirable:
-
Bilingual English/Navajo;
-
Familiarity with Navajo Culture
-
Prior experience working with groups of young people
