Branch Manager Position summary:
Responsible for the business development of the Branch in addition to operating the Branch in an efficient, smooth, and economically sound manner in accordance with Bank policies, operating procedures, audit requirements and regulatory standards.
Branch Manager Qualifications required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Bank Branch Manager
- Windows and Excel proficiency
- Outside Business Development experience – Consumer and Commercial
Branch Manager Sales/ Business Development:
- Maintain and Increase New/New Core deposits
- Maintain and Increase Core Portfolio Growth monthly
- Meet assigned Residential Mortgage goals set for the Branch
- Meet assigned Commercial Loan goals for the Branch
- Establish, execute and monitor Branch goals for all Branch employees
- Maintain and deepen customer relationships with cross sales
- Be an active participant in community and business networking opportunities
- Support the Bank’s community service volunteer efforts
Branch Manager Management:
- Operate a positive and professional Branch at all times
- Maintain open communication with Branch staff
- Develop a strong team by cross training employees where possible
- Ensure Branch/employee compliance to policies/procedures
- Meet all account opening standards and risk rating requirements
- Ensure Teller Line staff performs duties
- Provide/ensure all employees provide high quality customer service
- Resolve/coach branch employees on resolving customer inquiries/concerns
- Ensure employees complete required training as needed
- Provide coaching and follow ups to branch staff as needed utilizing
- Escalate performance management matters to HR when appropriate
- Ensure timely completion of performance evaluations of branch staff
- Develop branch staff for succession purposes
- Ensure accurate approval of time for branch staff in time keeping system
- Monitor the usage of paid time off and time and attendance of branch staff
- Ensure appropriate branch coverage to accommodate the flow of business
- Communicate and support company-wide initiatives
- Attend Branch Manager Meetings and relay information to Branch staff
- Conduct weekly/monthly branch meetings
- Complete monthly Branch Manager Checklist timely
- Maintain NMLS Registration and complete annual renewal
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Branch Manager Operations/ Security:
- Protect customer privacy and maintain confidentiality
- Recommend to pay/charge/return/waive overdrafts
- Approve checks being cashed over Certified Head Teller/Head Tellers limit
- Approve/sign Official Bank Checks being issued and cashed
- Approve/process domestic and foreign wire transfers
- Ensure appropriate completion of CTRs, SARs, etc.
- Ensure security of teller stations i.e. keys, combos, etc.
- Perform customer site visits as needed
- Review/monitor daily reports
- Ensure ABM conducts monthly/surprise audits of Branch, etc.
- Ensure appropriate branch cash levels are maintained
- Maintain safe deposit box operations
- Ensure proper set up and maintenance of Remote Capture
- Perform as a registered Notary Public
- Respond to alarm calls
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
