Lunch & Recess Program Manager
The Lunch & Recess Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of school lunch and recess programming while ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging environment for students. This leadership role provides onsite supervision of staff, maintains high program quality, serves as the primary liaison with school administration, and ensures all Ivy League Kids policies and district expectations are consistently met.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of lunch and recess programming.
- Supervise, coach, and support lunch and recess staff to ensure high-quality performance.
- Conduct regular quality assurance observations and provide real-time feedback and training.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with principals, administrators, teachers, and school staff.
- Ensure student safety through active supervision and consistent implementation of behavior expectations.
- Assist with conflict resolution between students using positive behavior management techniques.
- Monitor staffing levels and provide coverage or support when needed.
- Ensure staff remain engaged, professional, and actively supervising students at all times.
- Complete site visits, quality audits, and documentation as required.
- Address parent, school, or staff concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain compliance with Ivy League Kids policies, district procedures, and safety protocols.
- Communicate regularly with leadership regarding program performance, staffing, and operational needs.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance the student experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 21 preferred.
- Associate's degree or two years of college in education, recreation, child development, or a related field preferred. Bachelor's is preferred.
- Previous supervisory or management experience required.
- Experience working with school-age children.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with school personnel, families, and staff.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
