Location: Apex, NC 27539 (Southwest Raleigh)
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 + Bonus

We specialize in heavy civil, industrial, and environmental construction projects. The Apex office focuses on water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure. Our clients include municipalities, utilities, and industrial organizations seeking reliable solutions for clean water and environmental compliance. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems and equipment, supporting project bids and execution.
What You Will Be Doing

Develop detailed mechanical cost estimates for water and wastewater treatment plant projects

Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to determine scope of work

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing and technical data

Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns for mechanical systems and equipment

Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for accuracy and competitiveness

Support project teams during preconstruction and execution phases with cost analysis and forecasting
What You Need for This Position

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred

5+ years of estimating experience in mechanical systems for water/wastewater treatment or heavy civil construction

Strong knowledge of pumps, piping, HVAC, and process equipment used in treatment facilities

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
