RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to the Manager.
- Provides inpatient and outpatient Physical Therapy and wound management services as part of the physical therapy plan of care and plans, develops, and implements rehabilitation programs according to principles of physical therapy and applicable scope of practice, licensure, and demonstrated competency.
IV. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Seeing. Hearing. Speaking. Finger dexterity.
B. MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:
- Infrequent: Lift floor to waist up to 75lbs.
- Occasional: Lift waist to overhead up to 20 lbs.
- Frequent: Lift waist to shoulder up to 20lbs.
- Constant: N/A
C. NON-MANUAL MATERIAL HANDLING:
- Infrequent: N/A
- Occasional: Reach: shoulder level. Reach: above head.
- Frequent: Stand. Walk. Stoop/bend. Kneel. Twist.
- Constant: N/A
V. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Both inside and outside environmental conditions, hazardous physical conditions with some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids, and atmospheric conditions which affect the respiratory system or skin.
VI. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Current Hawaii State license as a Physical Therapist.
- A registered member of the National APTA preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in outpatient, acute care facility, and aquatic therapy preferred.
