Job Overview
AKAASA Healthcare is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, part of Samaritan Health Services, in Corvallis, Oregon.
The Intensive Care Unit provides specialized care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring, advanced assessments, and complex interventions. The ideal candidate will have strong ICU experience and thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill ICU patients.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuous monitoring.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and critical care treatments.
- Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment.
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
- Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based patient care.
Requirements
- Active Oregon RN License (required at submission)
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience preferred
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Current AHA ACLS Certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
- PALS preferred
- TNCC preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent verification required (CAP requirement)
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Schedule
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Rotating weekends
- 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
- Overtime available after 40 hours
- Holiday coverage required
